Example A: The recent styles from Narciso Rodriguez are clearly making a case for “less is more”. Even though the concept isn’t new, this look feels fresh and as relevant as ever. This is something I aspire to always embody throughout the Same Tree collection….an aesthetic that always feels fresh and completely relevant, while still maintaining a sense of tradition.
The Angle Table is a perfect example of how we try to design with the minimalist mindset. The design may look simple, but the process of building it is far from it. I think it's true what they say... " It is much harder to design something simple than it is complex." The Angle table featured here is constructed using unique and complex inner construction techniques to accomplish its clean lines and amazing strength.
Speaking of interior luxury…minimalism has been making a huge debut throughout luxury interiors as well… though I feel like it’s taken on a new edge. It used to be that I thought the minimal look was cold, and unwelcoming. Now, with the trend being towards highlighting vintage patinas, and warm woods… I am absolutely in love with the whole aesthetic. Posted here are some of my recent faves. I love how this space is focused on the beauty of the wood grain on the wall.
This space is a great example of how minimal can be warm. The wood and white make you focus on what counts by calling you in to take a closer look. I only wish there was an interesting lighting feature... a native chandelier would be perfect here.
